For local poetry lovers, Sunday’s program at the Savoy Bookshop and Café should be the perfect ending of the old week … or the perfect beginning of the new week, depending on how you look at things.
And isn’t that what poetry is about? How we look at things … and how we hear things and how we share things … like words and emotions, feelings and passions, desires and dislikes, fears and joys, hopes and dreams and everyday life?
In this case, Westerly’s new book shop has put together a program called “An Afternoon of Poetry,” which includes a visit from three New England-based poets who plan to share their work, read their words and talk poetry with their audience.
