“Self-destruction” is a piece that was written to bring awareness and hopefully a solution to the violence going on with Chicago youth. Ironically, the only solution to this self-destructing culture is to self-destruct ourselves in a way that is sacrificial for the greater good. This can mean something different for each person, but it must be something accomplished as a community rather than an individual.
