Our Instagram family is extremely important to us, here at The Poet’s List! It is there where we offer poetry prompts and engage with writers and poetry lovers. how does a writer get featured on the poet’s list’s instagram?
We select pieces as they catch our eye and save them to our collection for future posting. Still, there are a few ways to get on our radar:

- Participate in our poetry prompts. We post a weekly #ThoughtfulThursdays prompt.
What types of poems do you post?
For the most part, we are open to all genres, topics and styles of writing. However, we do draw the line at hateful, prejudice, racist or plagiarized material.
Which poems stand out to you the most?
Poems that seem brutally honest without feeling contrived.
Poets with a vast vocabulary (as long as the read is still digestible).
Poems that are so abstract, they’re almost universal.
Storytellers.
do all instapoems need a good visual?
No! That’s the beauty of poetry. Your words are enough to stir the soul. Of course, a great visual can’t hurt. Just be sure that there is enough contrast between the art’s color scheme and your text.
