“Grandmotherhood: Revisited” by Sandra Gales Shapard (Tate Publishing, 135 pages, in stores)
Sandra Shapard has written another book of poems about a topic she knows well — being a grandmother. It’s an easy read on the stage of life some women look forward to and others approach with apprehension, if not dread.

“Grandmother Revisited” is her second book on the topic, inspired by her grandkids that were born after the first book was published.
In 135 pages Shapard, or Lulu to her grandkids, covers everything from watching them at play, on vacation and even while they sleep. Only a grandmother can write poetry about a body going from chubby to lean and get away with it.
