Poetry reading and Hard Freight Cafe set for Oct. 7 (via Penn State Altoona)

Poet Renée Nicholson will read from her work Tuesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Nicholson, assistant professor at West Virginia University, is the author of Roundabout Directions to Lincoln Center, a collection of poems. She was the 2011 Emerging Writer-in-Residence at Penn State Altoona. The poetry reading will be followed immediately by Hard Freight Café, an open mic event. Attendees are invited to read or perform their own work or music, or share a favorite piece of poetry or prose.
