Indie Author Land is accepting nominations for “The 50 Self-Published Books Worth Reading (2013/14)” and Thea Monyee would like your vote! You may remember her from Verses & Flow Season 1 or even Def Poetry Jam where her super-blunt poem “Woman to Woman” rocked the house (video below). Either way, check out her tweet and if you’re so inclined, hit the link!
And if you have another author in mind, don’t worry, you can nominate up to 3 books (just make sure you read the rules)!

About the Contest
Love them or hate them, traditional publishers acted as bouncers at the door to authorship and represented a seal of approval that readers trusted. We believe they abused this power, and we are pleased that the indie revolution is leading us into a post-publisher age. However, readers need reassuring. Who will tell them if a novel is any good?
You. Us. Other book-lovers.
This is how it will work. We invite you to nominate the best self-published novels you have read in the past year. We will take these nominations, weed out those that do not meet the criteria (see below), and open the rest up to a public vote. The results of the vote will tell us the 50 Self-Published Novels worth reading.
